A pair of Cut Throat Finches made a nest near one of our serval cages.
One morning one of the staff found two of the chicks on the ground and the other one dead, they observed the nest for some time but no mother came in sight. So we took them into our clinic to check on them, there were no injuries and Ella Keeling a volunteer from England is looking after them, she fed them with Pro- Nutro to begin with every hour. They are doing very well and now on the next stage of Avi-Plus which contains all the nutrients and seeds they need. As soon as the chicks have reached adults we plan to release them in the centre again where their nest is.
