One of our Cheetah trainers noticed that Princess, one of our ambassadors, was not acting her energetic and bright self. She was weak, dizzy, disorientated, dehydrated and her ‘third’ eyelid (nictitating membrane – a translucent third eyelid cheetahs have for moisture and protection) was restricted. We loaded her into the vehicle to take her to Provet our local vet in Hoedspruit as it seemed she might have been bitten by something. In order for Dr Rodgers to administer all the injections, he had to put her under anaesthetic, the injections Princess received were for stress, inflammation, antibiotics and a vitamin and mineral injection, as well as a rehydration drip. She is doing much better and back to her normal active self. Thank you Dr Rodgers and the Provet Team for all your help regarding Princess.
