Female Leopard

Volunteers

We were asked to hold a female leopard and her two cubs which eventually went into months and months. We were getting quite desperate as they really needed to be relocated somewhere where they could be free. We finally received the long awaited phone call to say there was a place to release them in Nkomazi Game reserve in Mpumalanga. The relevant people arrived to do the darting and transporting as you can see in a couple of photos. The main worry was if the mummy would still accept the cubs on the other end. To everyone’s relief as seen in the one photo mummy is near the cub and the other is of mummy relaxing in a tree!! Well done all! And of course a photo of the volunteers who assisted!
