Mariepskop Laerskool did their Grade 7 farewell on the 9th November 2017. They did their farewell party down in our Teagarden area next to the river. Their theme for the evening was “Super Hero’s”.
The Teagarden was lit up with our fairy lights. The trees and the top deck or restaurant to.
For each child they did a small presentation on a slide show of his time in Mariepskop.
The grade 4 children were the waiters for that evening that helped out with setup and serve the parents and the grade 5’s.
It turned out a lovely evening with cool breeze that blew now and then with a the sky lit up with stars made a perfect evening for the kids and their families.

While it signals the end of the holidays, this is the chance for a fresh start in a new school year. That means giving everything you’ve got to reaching your academic goals, and potentially ratcheting up those test scores to the next grade. A little extra work goes a long way after all, according to some of the most successful figures in recent history.

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.
